Permanent Teacher of Maths (KS5 Capable) - Outstanding Barking School (Maths Department)

An outstanding school in Barking is seeking a passionate and dedicated Permanent Teacher of Maths to join our thriving Maths Department. This role offers the opportunity to inspire students across Key Stages 3, 4, and particularly 5 (A-Level), fostering a deep understanding and appreciation for the power and beauty of mathematics in its various forms.

Key Responsibilities:

* Deliver engaging and effective Maths lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with a strong capability and enthusiasm for teaching A-Level Mathematics and Further Mathematics.

* Cultivate a love of mathematical reasoning, problem-solving, and analytical skills in all students.

* Contribute to the development and enrichment of a challenging and engaging Maths curriculum across all key stages, including A-Level.

* Assess and monitor student progress effectively, providing insightful feedback and targeted support, particularly for students pursuing A-Level Maths.

* Collaborate effectively with colleagues within the Maths Department to share best practices and enhance the teaching of mathematics at all levels.

Qualifications & Experience:

* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

* A strong degree in Mathematics or a closely related field.

* Proven ability to teach engaging Maths lessons at secondary level, with a clear aptitude and desire to teach A-Level Mathematics.

* Comprehensive and up-to-date knowledge of the Maths curriculum across all key stages, including the A-Level specifications.

* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills, with the ability to inspire and challenge students at all levels
