This role involves assisting in a Year 5 and Year 6 mixed class, with opportunities for additional income through after-school clubs. Ideal for someone with a good understanding of the KS2 curriculum and a passion for education.
Day-to-day of the role: - Assist in the general classroom activities for Year 5 and Year 6 mixed classes.
- Support the teacher in planning, preparation, and delivery of daily lessons.
- Help manage classroom behaviour and ensure a positive learning environment.
- Participate in after-school clubs on Wednesday and Thursday until 5:30pm, providing additional support and activities for students.
- Engage with students one-on-one or in small groups to reinforce learning concepts.
- Monitor and support the progress of students, providing feedback to teachers.
Required Skills & Qualifications: - Knowledge of the KS2 curriculum is essential.
- Good standard of Maths and English.
- Recent and relevant experience in KS2 is preferred.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with students and staff.
