Full time Learning Support Assistant (LSA) - Walthamstow

About the Role:
A welcoming primary school in Walthamstow is looking for a Full time Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to provide flexible support to pupils with SEN and additional learning needs. This role is perfect for someone seeking a work-life balance while making a real difference in children's education.

As an LSA, you will support pupils on a one-to-one basis, in small groups, or as general classroom assistance, depending on the school's needs. This role offers flexibility, making it ideal for those with other commitments, such as studies or family responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:
✅ Provide tailored support to pupils who need extra help with their learning.
✅ Assist the class teacher in creating an inclusive and engaging learning environment.
✅ Work flexibly across different year groups and settings within the school.
✅ Encourage independent learning and confidence in pupils.
✅ Support children with SEN, including Autism (ASD), ADHD, and speech and language difficulties.
✅ Promote a positive, safe, and harassment-free environment.

Requirements:
🔹 Previous experience as an LSA, Teaching Assistant (TA), or similar support role in a school setting is desirable but not essential.
🔹 Experience with SEN or additional learning needs is a bonus.
🔹 A caring, patient, and adaptable approach to working with young learners.
🔹 Strong communication and teamwork skills.
🔹 A valid DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
