Job Title: Product Design Engineer

Area: Engineering Department

Key Responsibilities

* Design and development support of Automotive sub systems/Parts for passenger cars.

* Design Automotive parts using CAD tools Catia V5 and Enovia PLM tool considering all the required design parameters.

* Generate detail design and 3D models and production release drawings as per OEM requirement.

* Study for Manufacturing feasibility analysis and Responsible for engineering solutions.

* Perform / Facilitate & Complete System DFMEA for Safety Analysis.

* Interact different Bentley Product lines - understand requirement and progress solution as per the requirements (for MY and CMP vehicles)

* Maintain and track the issue tracker and present in cross functional meeting

* Interact/Present with other cross functional team for design reviews and getting approvals

* Coordination with offshore to the work done for delivering the project to customer.

* Progressing the ECR / Model Year changes as required and testing of those changes for validation.

* Working on different VW/Bentley tools and processes to progressing the changes.

* Support in Product life cycle from Concept design/Tool Release to SOP.

* Supporting the Design changes as required and validate via proto preparation and Line trials.

* Creation of PDM and drawing and Certification Drawings

* Cost optimization of the designed parts

* Managing design resource and component/system suppliers to achieve the system requirements against the delivery timeline and milestones.

* Presenting technical issues to the client and other stakeholders

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

* Bachelor's degree or above in Mechanical / Automotive Engineering

* 5+ years of experience in leading Automotive industry

* Exposure of onsite-offshore working model

* Good understanding of both Mechanical and Electrical/Electronic aspects of Automotive systems

* Good understanding of product specifications and manufacturing

* Knowledge of Bentley Product lines with understanding for MY and CMP vehicles

* Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to clearly communicate to internal/external customers and suppliers.

* Full professional proficiency in English

* Skilled in Catia V5

* Good communication skills

* Knowledge on VW/Bentley Product lines with understanding for MY and CMP vehicles.

* Strong knowledge on VW systems, tools and process like AVON/KVS/BOM/Tevon, etc

* Experience in working with onsite and offshore collaboration in delivering the project to customer
