We are supporting a key client of ours who are currently seeking a Senior Technician (CAD/Highways) to join their team on a contractual basis. This role is integral to the successful delivery of various highway improvement schemes through effective use of Autodesk Civil 3D modelling.

Key Responsibilities:

Developing technical design drawings and models using Autodesk Civil 3D for highway improvement schemes
Preparing contract documents to ensure timely implementation of highway projects within budgets
Collecting, assessing, and disseminating essential information for scheme preparation and implementation
Preparing estimates for budget assessment and monitoring
Collaborating with contractors, statutory bodies, and other stakeholders to facilitate project delivery
Visiting sites to assist in resolving construction issues
Considering Health and Safety, as well as sustainability, when identifying design solutions

Job Requirements:

Proficient in the use of CAD and Autodesk Civil 3D for highway improvement schemes
Experience in highway design and the preparation of technical design drawings
Competency in preparing contract documents and budget estimates
Ability to liaise effectively with external contractors and statutory undertakers
Possession of a valid driving licence (category B)
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Ability to work effectively in a hybrid working environment
