Financial Controller - Leading Private Healthcare Provider | Bristol | £65,000 - £75,000, 25 days holiday, plus package | Healthcare

We're hiring a Financial Controller to lead the finance function at a growing, purpose-driven healthcare organisation that puts patients, and people, at the heart of everything it does. This is a hands-on, high-visibility role where you'll play a key part in driving both operational and strategic financial performance at site level.

Working closely with the General Manager and the wider UK&I Finance leadership team, you'll be responsible for everything from financial control and reporting to budgeting, forecasting, and delivering insight that shapes smarter business decisions.

The Role

Lead the month-end close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in reporting
Deliver robust management accounts with clear variance analysis and commentary
Own the budgeting and forecasting cycle in partnership with local and group leadership
Provide financial modelling and decision support for strategic initiatives and investment cases
Monitor cash flow, working capital, and cost efficiency across the site
Ensure strong compliance with financial policies, controls, and audit standards
Act as a business partner to operational leaders, translating financial data into actionable insights
Manage and develop a small team of finance professionals, fostering capability and growth
Serve as the finance lead for the site, working closely with both local and UK&I leadership

About You

Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA)
5+ years of progressive finance experience including both financial control and FP&A
Strong technical accounting knowledge and commercial acumen
Excellent Excel and financial systems proficiency
Able to lead, challenge, and influence cross-functional stakeholders
Proactive and hands-on with a continuous improvement mindset
Experience in healthcare, clinical, or multi-site environments is advantageous
