About the Role:

As a Social Worker in our Child Assessment and Safeguarding Service, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and welfare of children in our community. You will be responsible for conducting assessments, developing safety plans, and collaborating with families and multi-agency partners to provide the best outcomes for children and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

* Conduct thorough assessments of children and families, identifying needs and risks.

* Develop and implement tailored safety and support plans to ensure the well-being of children.

* Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and other professionals to deliver integrated support.

* Engage in safeguarding investigations and ensure compliance with relevant legislation and policies.

* Maintain accurate and detailed records of casework, assessments, and interventions.

* Advocate for children's rights and needs, ensuring their voices are heard.

* Participate in team meetings, case reviews, and training sessions to enhance service delivery.

Requirements:

* Qualified Social Worker (Degree in Social Work or equivalent).

* Registration with Social Work England.

* Experience in child protection and safeguarding, with a strong understanding of child welfare legislation.

* Excellent assessment, communication, and interpersonal skills.

* Ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary environment.

* A commitment to anti-oppressive practice and promoting diversity and inclusion.

* Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage complex cases
