CJS Recruitment are seeking to hire an experienced ARB-registered Architect. We're specifically seeking someone with strong planning experience ideally, someone who has a comprehensive understanding of the planning application process and can take ownership of this aspect of projects with confidence.
Our client is a well-established Architecture Design & Branding company specialising in all aspects of design - from new builds to complete refurbishments for luxury hotels, luxury apartments, commercial and high-end residential projects.
The ideal candidate will have a strong design sensibility backed by robust technical knowledge and proven experience taking projects through multiple RIBA stages, especially technical design and delivery (stages 0-3 ) intermediate knowledge of stages 3-4. Will also ensure quality over quantity with detail- orientated and capable of delivering a high standard of work consistently
This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious architect who is confident managing design teams, consultants, and contractors, while maintaining design quality, compliance, and programme delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- ARB-registered with proven planning application experience
- Strong client-facing and communication skills
- Excellent time management and ability to handle multiple projects efficiently
- Comfortable collaborating with CAD drafting teams and guiding them where needed
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment with up-to-date knowledge across all project stages
- Familiarity with RIBA Stages 0-3 (essential) and intermediate knowledge of Stages 3-4
Required Qualifications & Experience:
* Registered Architect with the Architects Registration Board (ARB).
* Minimum 5+ years' experience
* Proven experience delivering medium to large-scale projects through RIBA stages, particularly stages 0-3.
* Proficient in architectural software such as Revit, AutoCAD, and Adobe Creative Suite.
* Strong understanding of UK Building Regulations, planning law, and technical detailing.
* Excellent communication, team leadership, and client-facing skills.
* Experience with contract administration and working with external consultants
