Reed Marketing and Creative are working with a fantastic non- profit business based in Bristol who are looking for an Internal Communications Manager to lead their global internal communications strategy, ensuring that thier messages and campaigns are engaging, inspiring, and consistent. This role is integral to keeping the wider business well-informed and connected with the organisation’s key plans and developments.

Key responsibilites: 
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive internal communications strategy that aligns with their values and strategic priorities.
  • Create and coordinate the delivery of internal communications across various platforms, ensuring content is original, engaging, and tailored for our internal audience.
  • Advise on and implement new platforms and channels to enhance internal communications effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with teams across the organisation to identify communication priorities and support content generation.
  • Provide editorial support and guidance on the use of internal communication channels and platforms.
  • Measure the effectiveness of internal communications, using insights to optimise strategies and content.
  • Solicit and analyse staff feedback for continuous improvement in communication practices.
  • Design and run colleague engagement surveys, providing feedback and facilitating action planning.
Person Specification:
  • Significant experience in internal communications or a related field.
  • A track record of growing engagement with internal channels, ideally in the conservation sector.
  • Strong editorial judgement with the ability to create high-quality, impactful content.
  • Proficiency in internal comms measurement and evaluation.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English.
  • A meticulous eye for detail and the ability to distil complex information into clear messages.
  • Experience with design and photography tools (Adobe Creative Cloud, Canva).
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse individuals and cultures at all levels.
  • Capacity to work independently and as part of an international team.
Desirable skills: 
  • Expertise in environmental conservation, fisheries management, or international development.
  • Competency in videography and photography.
  • Excellent knowledge of collaborative working with Google’s suite of products.
  • Working knowledge of additional languages such as French, Malagasy, Kiswahili, Indonesian, and Portuguese.
  • Experience with content management systems like WordPress and digital asset management systems like Swivle.
