Our Client, Bury Council, is seeking an Advanced EDT Practitioner/Social Worker to join their Team.

Responsibilities of this role:

  • Provide emergency social work services outside of standard working hours, responding to urgent and high-risk situations across a range of service user groups
  • Undertake rapid assessments and make autonomous decisions in complex scenarios, applying relevant legislation and professional frameworks
  • Coordinate emergency interventions, including safeguarding actions, mental health assessments, and urgent placements or support arrangements
  • Work collaboratively with emergency services, health professionals, housing providers, and other agencies to ensure effective and timely responses
  • Maintain accurate and timely records to support legal processes, safeguarding reviews, and continuity of care
  • Contribute to a culture of reflective practice by supporting colleagues and sharing expertise in emergency social work
  • Engage in supervision and continuous professional development to maintain up-to-date knowledge of legislation, policy, and best practice

Requirements of this role:

  • Must be a Qualified Social Worker, registered with Social Work England.
  • Must have minimum of 3 years experience working as a Qualified social worker
