Overview:We are seeking a reliable and proactive School Site Supervisor to support the smooth running and safety of the school site. This role involves maintaining the school building, ensuring health & safety standards are met, opening & locking the site, and carrying out basic repairs / maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Open and secure the school site daily
• Carry out routine maintenance, minor repairs and caretaking duties
• Conduct routine checks including alarm testing, fire safety checks and water temperature checks
• Support with contractors on site and monitor access
• Ensure the school building, grounds and facilities are safe and well-presented at all times
• Assist with deliveries, moving furniture and general caretaking tasks
• Report any hazards, repairs or safeguarding concerns appropriately

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a school environment or in a similar building/site maintenance role (essential)
• Ability to use initiative and work independently
• Must hold a current DBS or be willing to obtain one
• Must be willing to undergo full reference checks prior to starting
• Knowledge of basic maintenance, health & safety checks and alarm testing (fire alarms / intruder alarms)
• Reliable, punctual and committed to working the split shift hours stated
