M&E Project Estimator required. Our client is a specialist Mechanical and electrical contracting business, looking for a M&E Estimator in the Slough area to join the team within the commercial sector for installation based M&E Projects. This role has come around due to the growth of the business. This is an office based role with elements of work on site.

The successful candidate will work directly with the operations department, field team engineers, other managers, and clients to ensure customer satisfaction while meeting departmental goals and objectives. Successful candidates will have ideally performed a similar role within the steelworks, Electrical first and second fix, mechanical (ducting, construction works) and fit out (construction and facilities maintenance projects).

M&E Project Estimator Position Overview

Producing and delivering accurate Mechanical and Electrical and specialist estimates to requirements.
Making sure quotations are qualified correctly as well as analysing quotes from suppliers and subcontractors
Review plans, specification and other relevant documents to provide solutions which will increase profitability and prepare a clean concise bid proposal.
Determining type, quantity, cost of materials and fixtures needed for each project.
Arranging site surveys with managers.
Evaluating risk with bids/projects.
Updating and maintaining company's estimating software, making sure this is up to date with rates.
Monthly management reports.
Communicating with customers and upholding the reputation of the company

M&E Project Estimator Position Requirements

5+ years experience as an M&E Estimator or similar.
Good understanding of project delivery in the M&E industry
Confident pricing projects with a proven track record with smaller and larger projects.
Project management in a CDM environment.
HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering, 18th Edition, Level 3 electrical installation or Mechanical qualifications are all advantageous.

M&E Project Estimator Position Remuneration

Salary: £50,000- £65,000
Holiday: 25 days + 8BH (rising to 30 days based on service)
Working hours: 8- 5pm
