We are looking for a newly qualified ACA or CA(SA) to join our finance team as a Financial Accountant, ideal for someone looking to make their first move into industry. This role is well-suited to someone with strong audit and financial reporting experience, eager to apply their skills in a commercial setting.
Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will play a key role in supporting the month-end close, financial reporting, and statutory audit processes - while gaining experience in a fast-paced, PE-backed environment.
Key Responsibilities:Assist with monthly close processes, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations
Support the preparation of financial statements and internal management reports
Coordinate with external auditors and prepare audit deliverables
Ensure compliance with accounting standards (UK GAAP/IFRS) and internal policies
Maintain and review balance sheet reconciliations and identify areas for improvement
Support VAT returns and corporation tax submissions with advisors
Contribute to ongoing finance projects including systems enhancements, controls improvements, and acquisition integration
Work closely with the Financial Controller on ad hoc financial analysis and reporting
About You:Newly qualified ACA (UK) or CA(SA), ideally from a Big 4 or mid-tier audit firm
Strong technical grounding in financial reporting and audit
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
Proactive, self-motivated, and eager to learn in a commercial finance role
Strong Excel skills; experience with accounting software or ERP systems a plus
