SALARY: £70k - 80k per year + benefits

A global, and growing, Tier 1 investment bank is looking for a Regulatory Reporting accountant to join their international controller’s team at one of their London based offices. The candidate should be a qualified accountant, with around 2-5 years of qualified experience and someone who is engaging and can communicate with business leaders.

THE JOB

Specifically your responsibilities will include:

• Involvement with preparation of regulatory reporting returns including both capital and liquidity reporting
• Business partnering with numerous departments to resolve any identified issues
• Upgrade and improve processes through automation and improved systems
• Carry out daily/monthly/quarterly regulatory returns as necessary through regional regulations
• Assist with US regulatory requirements and coordinating with regulators
• Reviewing and standardising current processes and documentation and updating these as necessary
• Leading new projects and initiatives within the regulatory reporting/finance team
• Utilise prior expertise within regulatory reporting to make suggestions and drive efficiencies

YOU

To be considered for this job, you will have the following experience:

• Qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA) with 2-5 years of PQE
• Have relevant regulatory experience within financial services (COREP, Surfi and Liquidity Returns)
• Exposure to FCA and European regulatory reporting, with US regulatory reporting also being highly desirable
• Ability to speak French a preference
• Excellent academic & degree background
• Broad and strong product knowledge
• Excellent Excel abilities
• Self-motivated and ambitious for a career as an accounting professional within FS
• Competent at manipulating large sets of data and using Excel
• Works well within a team, has good communication skills/soft skills, adaptable and quick to learn
