Deputy Nursery Manager - Up to £34,000

 

A well-established nursery in Reading with a strong Ofsted rating is looking for a Deputy Nursery Manager to support day-to-day leadership and maintain high standards of care and education. The setting is modern, well-resourced, and structured, with a clear focus on quality practice and staff development.

What You’ll Need

  • Level 3 Early Years qualification (or above)
  • Previous experience in a senior practitioner, room leader, or deputy role
  • Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and safeguarding procedures
  • Ability to lead staff and maintain consistent standards across rooms

 

What You’ll Do

  • Support the Nursery Manager in the daily running of the setting
  • Lead staff practice in line with EYFS and safeguarding requirements
  • Monitor room standards, planning, and child development outcomes
  • Provide guidance and supervision to practitioners and senior staff
  • Ensure compliance with Ofsted, health & safety, and safeguarding procedures
  • Step into management responsibility in the manager’s absence
