We're looking for an experienced and detail-focused Bookkeeper to join a growing team in Solihull. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with numbers, takes pride in accuracy, and is confident managing day-to-day financial operations. The role begins on a 6-month temporary basis, with a strong possibility of becoming permanent.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
• Manage purchase and sales ledgers
• Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and cash postings
• Process supplier invoices and handle payment runs
• Prepare VAT returns
• Assist with month-end duties including journals, prepayments, and accruals
• Produce management reports as required
• Liaise with external accountants, suppliers, and internal stakeholders
• Support ad-hoc finance tasks to ensure smooth day-to-day operations

• Previous experience in a dedicated bookkeeping or accounts assistant role
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and double-entry bookkeeping
• Competent using accounting software (e.g., Xero, Sage, QuickBooks)
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
• Ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines
• Confident communicator who can build strong working relationships
• AAT qualification (desired but not essential)
