Project Manager – On Site, In Charge, Making Things Happen.

Project Manager – Major UK Installation Project

This is not a desk job with occasional site visits for show. This is a site-based Project Manager role where you are in the thick of it, every day, making sure things actually happen.

You’ll be the single point of contact on a large, complex, multi-year project delivering a full FF&E package into a live environment. You’ll deal with clients, installers, internal teams and the occasional problem that doesn’t stay politely in its lane.

If you like structure, ownership and being trusted to run your patch properly, you’ll feel at home.

The role (what you’ll really be doing):

  • Owning the end-to-end delivery of a major installation project – planning through to practical completion
  • Being the grown-up on site: coordinating installers, schedules, resources and stakeholders
  • Turning project plans into something that actually works in reality
  • Running site meetings, pre-starts, surveys, RAMS, snagging and reporting without drama
  • Managing programmes, budgets and changes without losing the plot
  • Keeping clients informed, confident and (ideally) happy
  • Maintaining proper standards of health & safety at all times
  • Spotting issues early and dealing with them before they become expensive anecdotes

This is a daily site-based role in the South East (Sussex area) for the initial project. Future work will be UK-wide, with occasional international involvement.

What we’re looking for:

  • Proven experience delivering large-scale, site-based projects
  • Someone who can run a programme, not just talk about one
  • Confident communicator – you can explain technical and logistical detail without waffle
  • Comfortable with project management platforms (Aconex, MSite, Kahua, similar)
  • Experienced producing Gantt charts, call-off schedules and logistics workflows
  • Solid understanding of site protocols, RAMS and compliance
  • Relevant certifications (CSCS, SMSTS/SSSTS, Prince2, IOSH, NEBOSH – or similar)

You’ll be organised, calm under pressure, and allergic to missed deadlines.

What’s on offer:

  • Competitive salary
  • Site-based travel expenses covered
  • Pension scheme after probation
  • Employee ownership after qualifying period
  • Private health insurance after longer service
  • 25 days’ holiday plus statutory

Most importantly:You’ll be trusted to do your job properly, with accountability and autonomy that matches the responsibility.

If this sounds like your kind of project management – practical, hands-on and properly run – apply in confidence.
