Prospero Teaching is recruiting Mental Health Support Workers to work across Primary, Secondary and SEN schools in Dorset.

You will play a key role in helping pupils manage emotional, social and mental health needs, ensuring they feel supported, safe and ready to learn.

The Role

• Providing 1:1 and small-group emotional wellbeing support
• Supporting pupils with anxiety, low mood, trauma or social difficulties
• Helping students develop coping strategies and resilience
• Working with pastoral, SEN and safeguarding teams
• Monitoring pupil progress and wellbeing
• Promoting a positive, inclusive school environment

Who We're Looking For

• Experience in mental health, youth work, counselling, SEN or support roles
• Calm, patient and empathetic
• Confident managing sensitive situations
• Ability to build trust and positive relationships
• Strong communication and safeguarding awareness
• DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
