The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in grounds maintenance and machinery operation, with a focus on delivering high-quality public services in a safe and efficient manner.Candidate ResponsibilitiesAs a Grounds Maintenance Operative/Driver, your key responsibilities will include:

• Operating tractors and attachments such as mowers, trailers, snow ploughs, and gritters to support council services.
• Carrying out grounds maintenance activities including grass cutting, hedge trimming, and verge management.
• Assisting with winter maintenance tasks, including leaf clearance.
• Transporting materials, equipment, and waste using council vehicles.
• Performing routine checks, cleaning, and minor maintenance of machinery.
• Ensuring health and safety regulations and council policies are adhered to at all times.
• Collaborating with other council teams to deliver a high standard of public service.
• Providing excellent customer service when interacting with residents and visitors.
