Opus Northamptonshire on behalf of West Northamptonshire Council is looking for a Debt Recovery Officer (Debt Recovery Admin Support) to join Debt Recovery Team.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, innovative and aspirational person with drive and determination to join our debt collection team based at Northampton.
Reporting to the Senior Debt Recovery Officers&Debt Recovery Team Manager, you will be professional and customer focused with the ability to support a fast paced debt recovery team achieve targets and provide professional service&support to our customers.
Your main priority will be:
- Customer Service
- Administrative services within the Debt Recovery team through the use of telephone, emails and letters
- Managing the main Debt Recovery emails&postal communications in a timely manner
- Giving advice to customers regarding their account
- Supporting Debt Recovery Officers&Team Manager with specific projects
- General administration tasks
Your IT skills will enable you to maximise use of our ERP system, write individual customer letters and prepare customer statements.
Public or private sector experience is valued and a sound administrative background with experience of customer service. A finance operations environment is a distinct advantage.
Proactive, confident and customer focused, you must have the ability to communicate effectively with customer's / service users, remaining calm and being able to influence behaviour in order to negotiate customer resolutions. You will also need to adopt a partnership approach to deliver a professional service to member of the county.
This position will be office based out of One Angel Square and a 37 hours per week role. Initially, 3 months placement- perm position subject to performance.
