£70,000 - £95,000 salary DOE + benefits

Our client are developing cutting edge hybrid control and inverter systems that power everything from high performance motorsport platforms to next gen passenger EVs, and we're looking for a Principal Systems Engineer to lead the charge!

This is a chance to work on technically complex, high impact systems at the edge of what's possible in electric propulsion. You'll be part of a growing engineering function where your decisions shape architecture, performance, and future direction.

In this role, you'll:

Lead the full systems V-cycle: concept through to production
Own architecture, requirements (DOORS, Polarion), and functional safety (ISO26262)
Drive model-based development in MATLAB/Simulink
Mentor and guide a small talented team and be part of recruiting and growing it
Collaborate closely with controls, software, and hardware teamsWhy this role is exciting:
