Project Overview

We are seeking an experienced Site Agent to support a major infrastructure renewal programme within Heathrow Airport's main tunnel network. The works form part of a high-profile asset compliance and upgrade scheme, ensuring critical transport routes within the airport remain safe, operational, and compliant with current regulations.

This is a technically complex environment involving live operations, restricted working windows, and close coordination between day and night delivery teams.

Purpose of the Role

As Day Shift Site Agent, you will take responsibility for the safe and efficient management of the day-time site operations, ensuring all engineering, planning, and logistics activities are completed to enable successful nightly installation works. You will lead the day team and ensure seamless integration with the night shift through clear planning, communication, and handover processes.

Key Responsibilities

* Lead and manage all on-site engineering activities to ensure full compliance with design specifications and project standards

* Provide technical guidance to engineers and subcontractors in a live tunnel environment

Operational Management

* Manage subcontractors and site teams, ensuring works are delivered safely, to programme, and to the required quality standards

* Monitor productivity and address any delivery issues before they impact night-shift operations

Health, Safety & Compliance

* Draft, review, and approve RAMS (Risk Assessments and Method Statements)

* Ensure strict compliance with health, safety, and environmental procedures within a highly regulated airport environment

Essential Skills & Experience

* Strong background in Civil engineering

* Demonstrable experience working on complex infrastructure projects, such as:

* tunnels

* highways

* rail or major civil engineering schemes

* Ability to interpret and implement detailed engineering drawings in a live operational environment

* Proven leadership experience managing multidisciplinary teams and subcontractors

Desirable Experience

* Previous experience working within an airport or other high-security, operationally constrained environment

* Valid CSCS card

* SMSTS or equivalent site management qualification

* Familiarity with NEC contracts and change management processes
