A schoool in Canford Heath are looking for a dedicated and compassionate individual to join their team as a full-time Support Worker / Teaching Assistant. This is a rewarding opportunity to support children and young people with severe learning difficulties, autism, and complex needs in a specialist educational setting.

Your Role

Provide one-to-one and small group support for students
Assist with personal care and daily routines where required
Support communication, behaviour, and emotional wellbeing
Help create a safe, structured, and engaging learning environment
Work closely with teachers, therapists, and support staff

Essential Requirements

Previous care work experience (must have) - e.g. support work, healthcare, residential care, or similar
A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
A genuine passion for supporting children and young people with additional needs

Desirable (but not essential)

Experience working in a school or with children
Knowledge of autism or special educational needs (SEN)
Relevant qualifications in care, childcare, or education

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
