Quality Controller - Temp to Perm
£16.50 per hour
4 on / 4 off shift pattern | 06:30 - 18:00
Own transport required due to location

We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Quality Controller to join a busy, fast-paced food production environment in Colchester.

This is a temp to perm opportunity, offering long-term stability for someone with strong attention to detail and a proactive approach. Full training will be provided, making this an excellent opportunity to develop within a quality-focused role.

Key Responsibilities of the Quality Controller:

Monitoring Critical Control Points (CCPs)

Carrying out product quality and temperature checks

Completing glass and hard plastic inspections

Performing shelf-life assessments

Supporting micro sampling and factory swabbing activities

Verifying label print and date code accuracy

Conducting scale and equipment calibration checks

Assisting with pre-start and production changeover checks

Ensuring all production and quality paperwork is completed accurately

Escalating any quality or safety concerns promptly

Maintaining "Clean as You Go" standards

Working collaboratively with Quality and Production teams

Requirements

High level of attention to detail

Experience in FMCG environment
Able to follow procedures and production schedules accurately

Good communication skills

Positive attitude and team-oriented approach

Willingness to learn and develop (full training provided)

Basic understanding of quality or safety standards desirable
