Support Engineers - Maintenance, IPL's, Publications, AvP70 & ASD2000M

2 x Support Engineer with maintenance of Aircraft Initial Provisioning Lists (IPL's). is required to work on a six month contract, with the possibility of extension for our Defence client based in Lancashire although at the present moment in time, due to the current pandemic restrictions, the successful candidates will be required to work from home.

This is a contract within the Aerospace Industry.

Overview of the Support Engineer contract roles

The successful candidates will undertake preparation, research, production and subsequent maintenance of Aircraft Initial Provisioning Lists (IPL's). In addition, you will provide technical support and a query answering service to the customer and liaise with various technical and support departments on aspects related to Initial Provisioning.

As a Support Engineer your main responsibilities will involve:
1. Research, preparation and maintenance of technical logistics data, for subsequent use in service operations and maintenance activities.
2. Interaction with engineering personnel and/or the interrogation of contributory engineering databases.
3. Support in providing advice to equipment suppliers.
4. Ensuring that configuration control of the published data is maintained at all times.

Key skills required for the Support Engineer contract roles

As a Support Engineer your skills and qualifications will ideally include:
1. Knowledge and understanding of engineering drawings would be an advantage.
2. Experience of publications toolsets an advantage.
3. ONC or equivalent in relevant engineering discipline.
4. IT literacy is essential.
5. Good interpersonal skills.

What we're looking for in you:
The position requires an individual with a high degree of self motivation, and also the ability to pay particular attention to the quality and integrity of the data produced and product safety.

The successful candidate will be required to perform tasks suitable to the internal level of this role. The role will contain, but will not be limited to, the following:

Research, preparation and maintenance of technical logistics data, for subsequent use in service operations and maintenance activities.
2. Produce IPL data to the guidelines of AvP70 & ASD2000M and Enhanced Procurement System Standard Supply Procedures (EPS SSP's).
3. Close liaison with all aspects of Tornado Aircraft engineering, through the interaction with engineering personnel and/or the interrogation of contributory engineering databases.
4. Additional responsibilities include liaison, support and advise to equipment suppliers.
5. IPL Compilation Engineers work alongside technical illustrators in the creation of new and amended illustrations as these are a critical part of the technical data.
