Salary: £42000 - £45000/annum

We are currently looking for a Production Planning Manager to join a client of ours based in Ponteland on a permanent basis.

The Production Planning Manager will receive a salary of around £45000 per annum. The hours of work are 8:30am - 5pm Monday to Thursday and 8:30am - 1:30pm on a Friday.

Your main duties will include planning and managing the panel assembly production schedule. Assisting to improve and implement new manufacturing processes as well as managing a team of 30 manufacturing operatives and panel wirers.

Key Responsibilities of the Production Planning Manager:

* Delivering against stringent on time and in full targets. (OTIF)

* Support the execution of delivery of the production plan/schedule, meeting quality and delivery expectations, ensure that best working practices are always maintained.

* Conduct regular reviews logging actions ensuring these are drawn to a successful closure through the daily Production meeting.

* Perform root cause analysis and resolve problems.

* Ownership of the production plan and its implementation.

* Conduct regular 1:1's with your team and support their needs where required.

* Investigate and rectify any staff performance issues and work with HR to manage disciplinary issues.

* Ensure team members are adequately trained and provided with the correct tools to carry out the tasks.

Experience/Qualifications of the Production Planning Manager:

* Extensive hands-on experience of managing production, warehousing, and assembly preferably in electrical industry.

* Knowledge of electrical panel wiring.

* Ability to analyse data to drive performance.

* A successful track record in mentoring and developing emerging talent.

* A proven continuous improvement skill set.

* Strong, passionate, and motivational leadership and communication skills with the ability to build a culture of succession.

* Lean Manufacturing experience essential.

Full driving licence required.
