Location: UK wide - Fully remote with some occasional onsite presence required

Salary: £62,000 - £76,000 per annum plus car allowance

Responsibilities

* Lead the preparation of statutory financial accounts and ensure compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations.

* Manage the annual audit process and maintain strong relationships with external auditors.

* Oversee the monthly accounting close and communicate corporate financial results to senior leadership and trustees.

* Maintain and enhance financial systems, policies, and internal controls.

* Direct treasury operations, managing cash flow and investment portfolios.

* Oversee purchase and sales ledger functions and capital accounting.

* Provide technical accounting advice to internal stakeholders.

* Support performance reporting and organisational KPIs in collaboration with data teams.

* Lead and develop a high-performing financial accounting team in line with the organisation's values.

Role-specific knowledge & skills

Essential

* Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA)

* Expertise in financial reporting, audit, and treasury management

* Strong technical understanding of UK GAAP and charity accounting

* Experience in managing teams and leading finance functions

* Excellent analytical, organisational, and interpersonal skills

Desirable

* Experience in the charity or nonprofit sector

* Experience with financial systems upgrades
