Tempest Education are looking for a Behaviour Mentor to support pupils with SEMH and challenging behaviour in a specialist provision within a mainstream primary school in Barking & Dagenham (IG11).

You'll work with a small group of pupils, building consistent, trusting relationships, using de-escalation strategies, and helping them develop emotional regulation, social skills and readiness to learn.

You should have:

• Experience with SEMH / behaviour needs (school, PRU, youth work, mentoring or similar)

• A calm, firm, fair approach under pressure

• Confidence managing challenging behaviour

• Strong communication and a genuine commitment to improving outcomes for vulnerable pupils

We offer:

• Full-time, long-term role from January 2026

• £95-£120 per day, paid via Tempest Education

• Support from a dedicated consultant and access to CPD
