Venn Group would like to introduce the following Housing Officer position available in Leeds

Position:          Housing Officer  

Location:         Leeds - Agile Working available

Rate:               Negotiable dependant on experience  

Length:            6 months

Hours:             37.5 hours p/week

The role will predominantly involve:

• Responsible for the complete housing and neighbourhood management of challenging patch of properties in the inner part of Leeds
• Dealing with the allocations process of properties including selecting tenants from the Choice Based Letting Systems working to re-let target
• Inspecting void properties to ensure all required repairs could be completed allowing the property to be re-let in a timely manner
• Carrying out viewings with residents and deal with tenancy sign-ups
• Carrying out essential home visits to tenants to ensure their tenancy let ran as smoothly as possible dealing with any issues that arose
• Dealing with any instances relating to ASB including taking witness statements, mediating between tenants and informing the Police where necessary
• Offering advice and guidance to the tenants with regards to Anti Social Behaviour
• Reporting repairs to the maintenance team for both properties and communal areas
• Offered advice on income maximisation methods and Housing Benefit issues

The successful candidate must have worked in a similar role previously, it is essential to drive and have access to a car for the role, the ideal candidate must be able to start the contract from next week
