An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Finance Director to join a growing FMCG business based in the Redhill/Reigate area.

The role will be supporting the Managing Director on the day-to-day running of the business group from a financial standpoint and will take a ‘hands-on’ approach to the production of the company accounts. The company is currently going through a period of substantial growth and due to acquisition and restructure a strong strategic FD is required.

Duties will include:

• Preparation of timely and accurate monthly management accounts and reports for operational management
• Responsibility for all journals and final GL balances
• Ensure the accuracy and integrity of the groups accounting records
• Production of statutory accounts
• Preparation of budgets, forecasts and business plans
• Continuous monitoring and review of performance against budgets and forecasts
• Lead on financial planning and analysis
• Manage investor relationships, funding bodies and banks
• Conduct presentations to senior stakeholders and provide accurate reporting
• Control dept and equity financing and effectively support fundraising activities
• Managing a small finance team of 2 staff
• Overseeing the processing of monthly payroll
• Provide support across different departments within the business
• Plus a variety of additional ad-hoc responsibilities

To apply you must:

• Hold a full accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or Equivalent)
• Have previous experience of leading a company through strategic restructure and acquisition
• Have previous experience of working within an SME environment and understand the challenges it faces
• Have a ‘hands-on’ approach
• Be comfortable with all areas of accounts from processing transactions through to setting strategic agenda
• Have the confidence to challenge the senior management on key business decisions
