Year 6 Class Teacher

Step Teachers are working with a school in Kinsgbury seeking a full-time Year 6 Class Teacher and subject lead (History or RE or ICT) to join a mainstream primary school in Kingsbury. The role is due to commence in September 2024.

As a Year 6 Class Teacher, your duties will include:

• Strong knowledge of the curriculum at Key Stage 2

• Support the year group in their SATS

• Upkeep a tidy, organised classroom with accessible resources where needed

• Work effectively with other members of staff, both within the classroom and throughout the school

• Ability to monitor, assess and report on the progress of your students

• Able to plan and deliver engaging and dynamic lessons

• Willingness to comply with the schools’ policies and implement them effectively

Requirements of a Year 6 Class Teacher:

• Hold QTS or an equivalent qualification

• Recent mainstream school-based experience teaching in a Primary School

• Have a good level of classroom and behaviour management

• Experience working with SEND is desirable
