Are you a dedicated professional with a passion for health and safety? Our client is looking for an Interim Health & Safety Business Manager to lead the way in fostering a robust health and safety culture across the organisation. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real impact within the housing sector!
What You'll Do:As the Interim Health & Safety Business Manager, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Cultivating a Safety Culture: Create and embed an effective health and safety culture, ensuring policies and procedures are clear, accessible, and compliant with UK and EC legislative requirements.
- Advising and Supporting: Provide expert guidance to managers and colleagues on health and safety issues, promoting safer working practises across the organisation.
- Training Development: Identify training needs and design engaging health and safety programmes, ensuring all mandatory training is delivered on time.
- Monitoring and Reporting: Maintain accident, incident, and near-miss reporting systems. Prepare insightful reports for senior management and oversee the annual health and safety report.
- Continuous Improvement: Work closely with teams to establish a programme of continuous improvement in health and safety management, conducting regular audits and reviews.
My client is looking for someone who will:
- Lead of Health and Safety for the Group
- Carry out site visits
- Work closely with Stakeholders
- Collaborate with the workforce ensuring Health and Safety engagement
- Demonstrate quality report writing to present to risk committee and provide monthly updates
Key Qualifications:
- Proven experience in health and safety management, preferably within the housing sector but the client is happy to consider out of sector
- Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, including HSE, CQC, CRM, and ISO requirements.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively educate and support colleagues at all levels.
- Ability to lead investigations, analyse risks, and recommend practical solutions.
