We are partnering with a leading branded food manufacturer renowned for its commitment to quality and sustainability to recruit a Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Manager as part of the site SLT.

This is a rare opportunity to join a high-performing site in London with robust systems already in place and a low incident rate, the foundation is set; we now need a visionary Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Manager to take the site-wide safety & environment culture to the next level.

The Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Manager will be a highly visible individual contributor, acting as a coach and trusted advisor to the Site Leadership Team. Your mission is to move beyond regulatory compliance and embed a proactive, behavioural safety mindset across the entire operation. You won't be "firefighting." Instead, you will have the creative freedom to innovate, mentor, and drive a culture of excellence that sets the standard for the industry.

Key Responsibilities of the Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Manager

* Lead the development of behavioural safety programs, focusing on mindset shifts and "real-time" coaching interventions on the shop floor.

* Design and deliver a site-specific HSE strategy that aligns with broader business and sustainability goals.

* Act as the site lead for the Environmental Management System, identifying and implementing projects to reduce utility consumption and improve waste segregation.

* Maintain the site's "competent person" status, overseeing audits, ISO standards, and fire/security management.

* Work cross-functionally to ensure safety and sustainability are integrated into the fabric of daily

The successful Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Manager will ideally hold, or be working towards the NEBOSH Diploma with associated environmental qualification (IEMA). You will have previously worked in food manufacturing, or similar fast paced environment (packaging, plastics, consumer goods, distribution etc)
