NexGen Consultancy are currently recruiting for a Technical Sales Engineer to join a family-owned global enterprise specialising in the development and manufacturing of precision CNC machine tools for a range of varied machining applications

Location: Midlands / Hybrid

£40,000 p/a (Genuine OTE £100K+) + Industry Leading Commission / Bonus Structure + Training + Real Progression Opportunities + 33 Days Holiday + Pension

Job Overview:

We're looking for a highly motivated, skilled, and driven individual to lead CNC machinery sales across the Midlands. The ideal candidate will very much be hands-on and come from a strong technical machining background, with a solid understanding of modern manufacturing and a deep passion for helping customers find the right solution.

Being a highly innovative company with a real fresh approach to selling, we've carried this ethos across to our recruitment process and have meticulously devised a market leading package for the fortunate individual. The role will focus on promoting the full range of products (Vertical Machining Centres, Turning Centres, 5 Axis Machining Centres, Sliding Head Lathes & Automation Solutions) to drive new business and grow market share.

Key Responsibilities:

* Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy targeting new and existing customers in the CNC machine tool industry

* Attend customer visits, chase up website/phone leads, prospecting and door-to-door networking

* Represent the company at exhibitions / overseas trips

* Achieve and exceed sales targets and growth milestones

* Identify and pursue new business opportunities, fostering long-term client relationships

* Demonstrate existing showroom machinery to prospective clients

* Monitor industry trends and competitors, adjusting sales strategies as needed

* Prepare accurate sales forecasts and performance reports for senior management

* Collaborate with other departments (e.g., marketing, operations) to ensure unrivalled customer satisfaction and efficient operations.

Qualifications and Skills:

* Minimum 3 years proven experience as a Sales Manager, or similar role in the CNC machine tool industry.

* Strong understanding of CNC machinery, tooling, and manufacturing processes

* Exceptional sales and negotiation skills, with a proven track record of achieving targets.

* Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

* Ability to travel as required to meet clients and achieve targets.
