Shift Work: 12-hour shifts, 7am–7pm / 7pm–7am, continental shift pattern

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Plumbing/Mechanical Maintenance Shift Engineer to join our team at Queen Elizabeth Hospital. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified engineer looking to work in a challenging environment with opportunities for progression. You will be responsible for reactive and planned maintenance tasks, installation work, and ensuring all plumbing and mechanical systems operate safely and efficiently.

• Carry out reactive and planned plumbing/mechanical maintenance and installation tasks.
• Perform daily water treatment PPM tasks to ensure compliance.
• Respond to emergency calls, fire alarms, and use fire panels, bleeps, and shift mobiles.
• Operate and monitor the BMS system to control site plant operations.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and system performance reports.
• Collaborate with contractors, technicians, and other engineering disciplines.

• Level 3 Building Services qualification OR minimum Level 2 Plumbing qualification (essential).
• CSCS card required.
• Proven experience in plumbing/mechanical maintenance, preferably in construction or facilities management.
• Must have valid right to work in the UK.
• DBS check required.
• Flexibility to work a continental shift pattern (days and nights).

• Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to work independently and respond effectively to emergency situations.
• Familiarity with PPM schedules, BMS systems, and hospital or large-site environments is a plus.
