Health, Safety, Environmental & Facilities Manager
Alexander Steele has partnered with a leading Food Manufacturer that is looking for a Health, Safety, Environmental & Facilities Manager. It is a key leadership role, guiding their compliance, environmental, and people safety strategy across the site.
Location: Kent
Salary: Up to £49,000 plus Performance related bonus
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am - 4pm (Onsite)
Job Purpose

General Responsibilities:

* Ensure a safe, legally compliant working environment for all staff

* Develop and maintain H&S policies, procedures, and risk assessments

* Lead incident investigations and drive corrective action plans

* Coordinate site inspections, audits, fire drills, and lone-working protocols

* Champion the Environmental & Sustainability strategy, aligning with wider business goals

* Oversee facilities maintenance, ensuring safe, timely, and cost-effective delivery

* Mentor and support the Environmental & Sustainability Coordinator

* Lead H&S committee meetings and deliver internal training sessions

* Collaborate closely with Production, Technical, HR, and other business functions

* Manage onboarding inductions for new and agency staff

* Stay current with HSE regulations and best practices

Experience, Knowledge and Qualifications

* NEBOSH General Certificate (essential)

* 3+ years' experience in H&S management within manufacturing

* Strong working knowledge of H&S, COSHH, and environmental legislation

* Background in industrial/manufacturing environments

* Confident team leader with strong communication skills

* Full UK driving licence and full right to work in the UK
