Year 2 Teacher Canterbury (September Start)

Academics Canterbury are recruiting a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 2 Teacher to join a supportive primary school in Canterbury from September. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working in KS1 and helping pupils build strong foundations in literacy and numeracy.

The role as a Year 2 Teacher:

Deliver engaging and structured lessons aligned with the KS1 curriculum

Support pupils with reading, writing, and maths development

Prepare pupils for end of KS1 assessments

Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment

Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and parents

Requirements of a Year 2 Teacher:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - ECTs welcome

Previous UK classroom experience

Strong KS1 curriculum knowledge

Effective behaviour management

Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)

Right to work in the UK - visa sponsorship is not available
