Role Overview:
Our client is undertaking a significant Windows 11 migration project and is looking for 2 experienced Desktop Engineers to support deployments across multiple UK office locations across a 12-month contract. This role will involve installs, de-installs, and basic desktop support, with the occasional requirement to assist with office clearances or IT relocations. Additional duties may occasionally include office clearances and general IT hardware support.

Key Responsibilities:

Installation and de-installation of desktop and laptop hardware.
Support and execution of Windows 11 upgrade and deployment processes.
Collection and return of IT equipment to/from Midlands-based depots.
Occasional assistance with office moves and IT equipment clearance.
Ensure documentation and asset tracking are accurately maintained.
Liaise with on-site teams and project managers to deliver seamless support.
Essential Requirements:

Proven experience in desktop engineering roles, including OS migrations (ideally Windows 10 to 11).
Strong knowledge of hardware troubleshooting and deployment best practices.
BPSS clearance (or eligibility and willingness to undergo it).
Full UK driving licence, access to own vehicle and willingness to travel UK wide as required.
Good interpersonal and communication skills.
Location Requirement:

This role is ideally suited to candidates based in the Midlands, as regular collection and return of equipment will be required at local depots.
Contract Details:

12 month contract
UK wide travel - hotels to be provided where required
Monday to Friday day work
£163 per day including 100 miles travel per day
Additional mileage paid at 30ppm
