Teacher of Computer Science

Location: Secondary School - Leicestershire
Contract Type: Full-Time, Maternity Cover
Start Date: August 2025
Salary: £150 - £220 per day (depending on experience and pay scale)

Tradewind Recruitment are working on behalf of a school in Leicester to recruit a committed and knowledgeable Teacher of Computer Science to cover a maternity leave starting in August 2025.

The Role:

Teaching Computer Science across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4

Delivering engaging and well-structured lessons aligned with the OCR GCSE J277 specification

Preparing pupils for assessments and tracking progress in line with school policies

Promoting digital literacy and enthusiasm for computing

Contributing to the computing department and wider school community

The Ideal Candidate Will:

Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification

Have recent experience teaching Computer Science at secondary level

Be confident with Python programming and core computer science concepts

Be familiar with the OCR J277 GCSE specification

Demonstrate excellent classroom and behaviour management skills

Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one
