Deliver Capability Where It Matters Most
We're looking for a highly experienced Systems Engineer / Technical PM to lead a mission-critical MOD programme supporting special user groups and autonomous maritime systems. This is an exceptional opportunity to influence rapid acquisition strategy at the concept and system definition stages on a high-priority gateway programme. Your Mission:
Lead technical delivery across concept development, systems design and verification
Drive requirements definition and develop User Requirement Documents (URDs)
Conduct technical reviews of legacy systems and recommend future procurement options
Shape acquisition strategies and interface with DSTL and operational users
Act as Technical PM—providing oversight, assurance, and senior stakeholder engagementYou'll Bring:
Strong defence background—ideally ex-military or former MOD contractor
Proven experience in systems design and rapid capability acquisition
Understanding of UORs, special projects or working with specialist user groups
Experience in autonomous systems, maritime platforms, or similar domains
