Global Pricing Analyst

As a key member of the Global Pricing team within PerkinElmer €™s Global Revenue Operations & eCommerce function, the Pricing Analyst is responsible for administering pricing systems, models and tools in combination with detailed pricing knowledge to enable and optimize Segment & Regional price performance. The Pricing Analyst will support complex multi-disciplinary projects, advancing the implementation and management of new and existing pricing processes. Reporting to the Global Pricing Leader, the position provides analytical support for a wide range of critical strategic initiatives and requires a combination of strong quantitative skills, solid business acumen and a collaborative approach. The Pricing Analyst works closely with internal business partners throughout the organization to drive greater visibility into the impact of pricing decisions to guide sound pricing decision-making, consistent with established margin targets, strategic objectives, and the market value of PerkinElmer offerings. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Maintain systems, reports, databases, models, and other tools used to set global and country list prices €“ own the overall administration and implementation process Collaborate with business segment and regional commercial and finance partners to establish pricing for new offerings, as well as to manage the ongoing price of existing products and services including annual price round, based on changing market conditions. Administer, maintain and optimize the customer specific pricing agreement file production based on solid understanding of Visual Basic for Applications / Excel macro programming Analyze transactional data in order to measure and evaluate progress against financial and strategic goals. Track pricing performance by Segment and Region across product line and sub-territories. Become a subject matter expert for how the company evaluates pricing, discounting, and costing at the segment/product/region/country/customer level as well as frameworks how to measure impact of planned price changes on price, volume, revenue and margin Partner with Pricing Analytics & Pricing Technologies to drive optimal price management processes and outcomes Collaborate cross-functionally with Product Management, Finance, Marketing, Sales, Sales Operations, Customer Care, and IT organizations to ensure pricing project objectives are met in accordance with key stakeholder requirements. Support effective price communications across the organization. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree 5 years of related experience in a pricing, finance, operations, analytics, or corporate strategy-based role. Preferred Qualifications: Degree in economics, finance, statistics, engineering, mathematics, computer science or other comparable business or applied sciences discipline. Team player and self-starter with strong interpersonal skills and solution-oriented attitude. Highly analytical and skilled problem-solver, with practical experience with financial or statistical modelling and in the quantitative analysis of large datasets. Solid understanding of Visual Basic for Applications VBA programming for Excel macros Proficiency with Excel, Access, and other database software, with experience in the use of BI and statistical analysis tools. Experience with enterprise pricing software solutions is preferred. Strong communication, time management, and organizational skills, with excellent attention to detail. Previous experience within the life sciences and/or pharmaceutical industries a plus. Ability to effectively operate with flexibility in a fast paced, constantly evolving team environments Willing to travel occasionally (5-10%). Ability to travel to foreign countries if required.
