LEAD PROCESS ENGINEER

People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Lead Process Engineer to join our well-established client based in Gloucester on a full-time permanent basis.

This is an excellent opportunity offering a competitive salary and room to grow within a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Hours of Work:

• 37 hours per week, MONDAY - THURSDAY: 8.30AM – 5.00PM & FRIDAY: 8.30AM - 3.30PM

Salary:

• Competitive, based on experience - £45K-£55K

Day-to-Day Duties:

As a Lead Process Engineer, your daily duties will be

• Drive process optimisation and continuous improvement across manufacturing
• Implement and maintain process controls, SOPs, and production process maps
• Lead PFMEA and Control Plan activities, supporting Quality teams
• Analyse manufacturing data to improve efficiency, flow, and reduce waste
• Support new product introductions and Lean improvement activities
• Troubleshoot process issues and enhance overall equipment effectiveness (OEE)
• Report on Process Engineering KPIs and support annual improvement plans

Essential Skills:

• Strong Process Engineering experience in manufacturing
• APQP knowledge (PPAP, PSW, PFMEA, Control Plans)
• Experience with process tools: Yamazumi, MOST, Value Stream Mapping, SPC, Spaghetti Diagrams
• Problem-solving, analytical, and technical troubleshooting skills
• Ability to read engineering drawings (GD&T)
• Organised, methodical, self-motivated, and detail-oriented
• Excellent communication and mentoring skills
• Experience managing a team
• Lean manufacturing experience (Single Piece Flow, SMED, 5S, Jidoka)
• Familiarity with project management tools (Microsoft Project, Gantt charts)
• Driving license and flexibility to travel
