A well established manufacturer of consumer chemical products are currently looking to hire a Safety and Compliance manager to their team.

Reporting to the Technical Director and working closely with the R&D team, the successful applicant will bring with them relevant experience within health, safety and complaince, ideally from the chemical manufacturing industries.

Key responsibilities:

* Overseeing the management and reduction of H&S incidents

* Scheduling and completing audits to comply with ISO 9001 and 14001

* Maintenance and development of risk monitoring practices including COSHH, DSEAR & SMETA

* Create, review and update risk assessments

* Accident and near miss reporting

* Review of contractor RAMS

* Coordinating with insurance companies

* Development and revision of policies and practices related to H&S

* Quality and environmental system management

* Ensure H&S inductions provided in timely manner for new starters

Skills, experience and qualifications:

* At least three years' experience in a H&S and compliance role.

* Ideally have a NEBOSH certification

* Computer literacy - MS Outlook, Excel, Word.

* Excellent communication

* A willingness to learn and support the wider business with development and regulatory requirements
