Personal Assistant (Support Worker)

Salary: £ TBC

Location: Newcastle - Morpeth

Work hours: Part time, full time

Shift pattern: Hours are flexible, between 16 hours and 20 hours per week.

Are you an experienced and compassionate Personal Assistant/Support Worker with a minimum of 6-months UK based healthcare experience.

About the role

We are recruiting on behalf of Yorkshire Community Healthcare who are looking for an experienced Support Worker with a compassionate and caring nature, ideally with experience in working in the field of ABI however full training and support will be provided to the right person.

What you'll be doing:

  • Encourage the client's active lifestyle, including leisure activities.
  • Accompany clients to medical appointments.
  • Assistance with budgeting and shopping
  • Provide guidance and support with cooking and meal preparation.
  • Create a positive and engaging environment through companionship and social interactions
  • Build a strong and trusting relationship with the client supporting her to achieve her goals

Requirements:

  • Right to work in the UK
  • A minimum of 6-months UK based health or social care experience is essential
  • Compassionate and patient nature with excellent communication skills
  • Must be happy to work with the client's dog
  • Enthusiastic and outgoing personality to connect with the client and create a positive atmosphere
  • UK valid driving license, access to reliable car, business insurance and happy to transport the client in your car

Note: All successful applicants will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
