Company Overview

We are a well-established UK manufacturer and supplier of plastic, insulation, and rubber products, serving a wide range of industrial sectors across the UK and beyond. Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced CNC Machine Operator/Setter to join our production team at our facility in the North West.

Role Overview

This is a hands-on role where you'll be responsible for setting and operating CNC flatbed routers (with both 2D and 5-axis capabilities). You'll ensure all components meet precise technical standards while maintaining high productivity and safety levels on the shop floor.

Key Responsibilities

Operate and set up CNC flatbed router machines (e.g. SCM, Biesse, Homag)

*

Program and modify jobs using Xilog software

*

Perform first-off inspections using various measuring tools

*

Set up and maintain tooling (length, diameter, sharpening, and replacements)

*

Machine both simple and complex parts to technical drawings

*

Trim and deburr finished parts using hand tools

*

Ensure compliance with industry and/or drawing-specific tolerances

*

Monitor machine performance and address issues proactively

*

Handle and recycle material as needed

Candidate Requirements

*

Experience setting and operating CNC flatbed routers (ideally with SCM, Biesse, or Homag)

*

Strong awareness of health and safety protocols

*

High attention to detail with good numerical and IT skills

*

Strong problem-solving and time management skills

*

Able to work independently and as part of a team

*

Previous experience in a manufacturing/production environment preferred

*

Willingness to learn and adapt
