We're recruiting a Buyer with new build housing or modular building experience for our client in Bradford. The client are a construction main contractor and manufacturer who work in a number of sectors. They have worked on interior fit out and building projects as a manufacturer and main contractor and they also work on residential modular building projects and this division is growing. They are recruiting a permanent Buyer to join their modular division.

Roles & Responsibilities:

* To manage the divisions supply of products and services finding cost effective deals and suppliers

* Responsible for the Procurement of materials and plant to service project requirements, demonstrating value for money through competitive tendering and pricing analysis to minimise risk and maximise commercial opportunity

* Identifying suppliers and sub-contractors, obtaining quotations and agreeing delivery timescales

* Liaising effectively with the site management team and suppliers & sub-contractors to manage the flow of labour & materials appropriately

* Liaising closely with the commercial team at the tendering stage to ensure that an accurate project cost is provided

* Approval of purchase invoices for payment

Requirements:

* Previous buying in a similar role gained within the construction sector

* Procurement qualification desirable but not essential

* Strong negotiation skills

* The ideal candidate will be hardworking, enthusiastic, and motivated
