JOB - Business Development Manager

LOCATION - Remote, involving travel to meet UK-based customers and occasionally visit the office in Berkshire  

TERM- Permanent

SALARY - £40,000-£50,000 per annum

My client designs and manufactures products and systems within the Renewable Energy sector. They are looking for a Business Development Manager to join their team on a permanent basis.

The company is based in Berkshire, but this role will be remote (requirement to be in the office around once a month), and will involve travel to meet UK-based customers as required.

The Business Development Manager will ideally have the following attributes:

Experience working in Business Development for B2B sales, ideally selling to integrators
Able to find customers and win new business, whilst managing accounts and maintaining customers
A passion for sales and an entrepreneurial mindset 
Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage a small team
Interested in sustainability and passionate about working in the renewable energy sector 
Excellent people skills and the ability to motivate others
Enthusiasm for the position
Brilliant communication skills and organisational skills
Be able to travel on occasion as required 

The Business Development Manager role will involve:

Working in a team to manage sales and business development activities within the company
Selling products to other businesses and integrators
Identifying and targeting new potential customers and winning business
Liaising with clients and investors to create and build relationships, then managing accounts
Maintaining the existing customer base and managing accounts
Leading a small team and having 1 direct report
Travel across the UK to meet customers and attend trade shows, events and conferences as required
Researching and developing sales opportunities
Working in alignment with commercial, technical, research and marketing strategies
Achieving revenue growth targets
Day-to-day management and team engagement
Driving for progression and growth of the business
