Registered Manager – Children’s Residential Care

£55,000 – £60,000 per year + Bonus

The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and driven Registered Manager to lead a children’s residential home in Staffordshire. This is a key leadership role, ideal for someone passionate about delivering high-quality care and achieving positive outcomes for young people.

You will be responsible for the overall management of the home, ensuring compliance with Ofsted regulations, maintaining high standards of care, and leading a dedicated staff team.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day running of the children’s home
• Ensure full compliance with Ofsted regulations and standards
• Lead, motivate, and develop a team of support staff
• Promote a safe, nurturing, and therapeutic environment
• Manage care plans and ensure individual needs are met
• Maintain strong relationships with external professionals and stakeholders
• Drive continuous improvement and work towards achieving ‘Good’ or ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted ratings

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager in a children’s residential setting
• Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations and safeguarding practices
• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards)
• Proven leadership and team management skills
• Passionate about improving outcomes for children and young people

Salary & Benefits

• £55,000 – £60,000 per year
• Bonus: Up to 10% of annual salary, reviewed and paid quarterly
• 25% based on achieving 95% occupancy
• 25% based on achieving Ofsted rating of ‘Good’ or above
• 50% based on KPI performance (audits, supervisions, compliance, and quality standards)
