Multi-Skilled Engineer (Commissioning Experience)

Salary: Up to £50,000 per annum (DOE)

Are you a hands-on Multi-Skilled Engineer with solid commissioning experience in a fast-paced FMCG environment? Are you looking for a fresh challenge where your skills can make a real difference?

We're hiring a proactive, skilled engineer to support the installation and commissioning of new machinery and processes at a well-established FMCG manufacturing facility in Rochester, Kent.

The Role:

As part of the site engineering team, you'll play a key role in commissioning new equipment, improving existing production lines, and ensuring reliable, efficient operations. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys varied, hands-on work and being involved in project delivery from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities:

Electrical and mechanical support during installation and commissioning of machinery

Carrying out fault finding, testing, and modifications during commissioning phases

Working alongside project and production teams to ensure seamless handover of new assets

Supporting planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and breakdown response

Contributing to continuous improvement and root cause analysis

Ensuring all work complies with site H&S and quality standards

✅ What We're Looking For:

Time-served or qualified multi-skilled engineer (electrical/mechanical bias considered)

Proven experience commissioning production machinery in an FMCG or manufacturing setting

Strong fault-finding, diagnostic, and hands-on repair skills

Knowledge of PLC-controlled systems is an advantage

Excellent teamwork and communication skills

Flexible and proactive mindset
