A welcoming specialist school in Trafford is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant (SEN) to join their team and support pupils with a range of additional needs including Autism, communication difficulties, and associated learning challenges.

The Role - Learning Support Assistant (SEN)

As a Learning Support Assistant (SEN), you will work closely with teachers and specialist staff to provide tailored support to pupils across the school. Support may take place 1:1, in small groups, or within the classroom, helping students engage with lessons and build confidence.

Responsibilities include:

• Supporting pupils with EHCPs to access learning
• Encouraging positive behaviour and emotional regulation
• Assisting with classroom activities and structured interventions
• Working alongside teachers and SEN specialists to implement support strategies
• Helping create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment

Ideal Candidate - Learning Support Assistant (SEN)

• Degree preferred but not essential
• Relevant experience in SEN Support, Care, Youth Work or Sports Coaching advantageous
• Patient, compassionate, and resilient personality
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Experience with children or SEN is beneficial but not required
